'Jammers on the net' FPAW08: dont forget....(very important comunication) 2008-07-23 09:35:15 My darling freestylers, so, here some informations you must remember: (please, print this mail and give it to other players, if they havent possibility to read my messages, thanks!) 20 july: dead line registration/payement all information: here or ask to: infofpaw08@gmail.com 30 july - 9,00 a.m.: dead line comunication team 30 july - 4,00 p.m.: start package pick-up 30 july - 6,00 p.m.: head judges meeting (they will be receive mail ad hoc) schedule tournement: here in the schedule you'll can read how many minutes you play for each category, and all informations about party and package pick-up 31 july: Players Meeting: There'll be a lot of news, in this tournament, so, please, ALL PLAYERS MUST TO BE AT PLAYERS-MEETING. judging system: please read well, very well! We need all people know the judging system! in english: http://freestyledisc.org/compManual.html (point 709.) in italian: here Music: a. Please have your music in CD FORM, if is possible. (If some-one has I-Pod is ok... but we prefere CD. ) b. You should have at least TWO COPIES of your song. This way, can have a copy in the sound tent and you can be practicing with the other copy. It is also good to have a back-up disc in case something happens to one. c. It's best to have only ONE SONG PER DISC. This assures that the correct song is played. Nothing takes the wind out of your sails more than, standing in the middle of the field with thousands of fans watching you, your psyched up, your waiting for the first note of your music, and it's the WRONG SONG. d. You should have a SEPARATE DISC FOR EACH EVENT. And if you have different versions for each round, please have them separate too. (3-minute disc for prelims, 4-minute disc for finals, etc.) e. Have a PROTECTIVE CASE of some sort to keep the disc from getting injured. f. TEST each disc to make sure it works on a CD-player. g. Turn in your music BEFORE THE ROUND STARTS. we'll comunicate you when we receive your music. h. Please PICK UP YOUR MUSIC after the round is over. i. Now, I understand that some of you will be picking up a partner at the tournament. This is especially true with co-op teams. The process of choosing music happens at the last minute and is usually picked off of a CD one of you jams to all the time. We will not cue up music in the tent for you. Nor will we "just play something good" for your routine. Please have SOMETHING ready for us. j. We need you to be clear about your team's time announcements. Time calls can be tricky to get right, so we cannot guarantee exact requests like "42 seconds." It is also helpful if you choose only a few time calls. Ultimately, you are responsible for finishing your routine on time. Please be sure your disc is LABELLED with the calls you want. Party: Sì! yes! wow! all the nights! so, please, sleep NOW, because at FPAW08 you must have a lot of energy to dance, have great time, drink and eat local produicts...ah, ok, and play frisbee too. :-) Weather: probably there will be hot...(yes, Italy is famous for this) but dont worry! you dont play from 12,30 a.m. to 3,30 p.m. (the most hot hours) and there are a lot of trees around the 'green carpet'. At 20 meters from 'green carpet' (field), there are a lot of free showers, so you can to take it, if you want. You can practice into the park, all around the field. Of course, there will be a lot of gazebo (tent) and big ombrellas for players, at the field. If will rain we'll play into the gym: it's at 20 meters from the field, so no problems: we dont stop event. The gym is very big, with wood floor. (bellissimo gym!) We can offer a very special price for all the players and for the parents (or friends) to sleep in a new hotel, very close to the field (about 7-8 minute walking through the park). The Hotel Relais Bellaria is a 4-Star Superior Hotel (all 108 rooms provide a 26" or 32" LCD TV, mini-bar (if you use pay at the hotel), desk, hairdryer, safe, deposit box, air conditioning, electronic lock, free high speed internet connection). The hotel is located on the hills above the park where the competition will occur. The prices are: 50 € for a Single Room (daily) 70 € for a Double Room (35 € daily) 80 € for a Triple Room (27 € daily) The hotels in Italy are not similar to American ones (example) where you can book a room and squeeze as many people as you want into it. The hotels count how many people enter each room. You pay for the people, not for the rooms. For all the info and the details for the payment you can sent a e-mail at infofpaw08@gmail.com or complete the Registration Form FPAW08: registrazione! 2008-07-01 22:47:26 Ciao freestylers, per andare incontro agli amici italiani che non 'masticano' bene l'inglese, vi inoltro passo-passo cosa dovete fare per iscrivervi al mondiale. allora: 1. la prima cosa da fare è iscriversi all' FPA almeno come Membro Competitore. questo lo farete seguendo il link: http://wrightlife.com/site/store/product-detail/5466/freestyle/fpa/ solo con l'iscrizione all'FPA almeno come competitor si può partecipare al mondiale! 2. poi bisogna fare l'iscrizione al torneo: qui c'è un foglio che dovete scaricare e compilare con i vostri dati, dire a quali categorie giocherete (OPEN, ECC.), (ricordatevi che potete partecipare al massimo a 3 categorie!) e chi sono i vostri partners, quale accomodation scegliete, se siete vegetariani, ecc., la taglia della Vs. t-shirt, e altre notizie ancora; una volta che avete compilato tutto, dovete spedire il foglio a questa e-mail: infofpaw08@gmail.com 3. nel foglio che avete compilato, c'è anche scritto quanto pagate in accomodation, fee, ecc. Sta a voi fare il conto di quanto pagate in totale, a seconda delle opzioni che preferite, e, una volta stabilito l'importo, dovete provvedere per il pagamento. Potete farlo sia in banca che con paypal, ma con paypal pagate anche il 3,5% in più...e a noi italiani non conviene, meglio andare in banca! MOLTO IMPORTANTE: spedite il modulo ed effettuate il pagamento entro e non oltre il 20 Luglio 2008! (per i giocatori che hanno già effettuato l'iscrizione con modulo in inglese: perfetto così, non è da rifare con quello in italiano!) 4. Avete bisogno di un partner? potete comunicarlo sempre all'e-mail: infofpaw08@gmail.com MOLTO IMPORTANTE: Si accetteranno solo i team comunicati entro il 30 luglio alle ore 9,00. Non presentatevi 'soli', perché non verranno accettati team 'dell'ultimo minuto'. (ciò significa anche che, in caso qualche giocatore cambiasse partner, potrà comunque farlo, anche dopo il 20 luglio, termine dell'iscrizione, MA DOVRA' COMUNICARLO ENTRO E NON OLTRE LE ORE 9,00 DEL 30 LUGLIO) IMPORTANTISSIMO: Come sempre accade, chi primo arriva meglio alloggia: quindi, prenotate subito il vostro alloggio preferito, e vi garantirete l'accomodation più adatta alle vostre finanze. E' ovvio che, se aspettate l'ultimo giorno, poi vi ritroverete a dovervi accontentare di ciò che è rimasto libero. Vi ricordo che, in concomitanza con il Mondiale c'è la Fiera di San Lazzaro, che è una cosa grossa e che di location libere non ve ne sono... Chiaramente, iscrivendovi prima possibile aiuterete anche l'organizzazione a gestire il tutto: come sapete è in base alle vostre iscrizioni che si possono poi ordinare cibo, bevande, gestire accomodation, calendario ecc.
